Event Marketing Specialist

The foodservice, convenience and grocery industry's leading B2B media and information company is seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to help execute this innovative company's aggressive and demanding marketing efforts. This individual will be responsible for working with internal teams to recruit for events, provide analytical reports and assist in general event marketing execution. He or she will have a strong event recruitment focus and be critical in the implementation of event recruitment strategies and plan across all foodservice events. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager.


  • Work closely with the Event Recruitment Director and Senior Marketing Manager to develop strategies to increase event attendance and generate audience interest
  • Recruit foodservice operators to promote conference attendance
  • Build and cultivate key relationships with foodservice operators and suppliers in order to bring them together for possible business opportunities
  • Provide performance reports and analytics to determine campaign success
  • Develop a deep understanding of the industry
  • Create audience-targeting lists and strategies
  • Work with clients to develop target audience lists
  • Use various marketing tools, such as marketing automation, to accomplish goals
  • Assist in project management of new and existing campaigns (develop timelines, update status reports, communicate timing to various internal teams)
  • Maintain & update the database (Salesforce) for changes in personnel from various sources and establish appropriate groups for each conference
  • Execute additional marketing efforts as directed by the Senior Marketing Manager


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 2+ years' experience in marketing analytics or related field preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience in tools such as Marketo, Salesforce and Google Analytics preferred
  • Proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills, a killer attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Must have a positive "can do" attitude
  • Enjoy working independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Welcomes new technology
